Chris grew up on a grain farm near Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia. It was here he begun his riding career on a naughty pony called Clancy he got for his 3rd birthday. When he was 6 Chris was given a pony called Spice who was to really kick-start his eventing career. While his older brother, Karl, now a professional campdrafting and cutting rider, was out helping muster cattle, Chris was busy building jumps using bricks and broomsticks for Spice to jump. In 1994 Chris did his first EFA event on Just Joshin. Shortly after Chris started riding his first real super star, Deo Juvante . ‘Deo’ and Chris rose through to 5**** and from here Chris has not looked back.

We want to enable increased investment and performance in the Australasian Equestrian Industry. This will be a dynamic business. We will listen closely to market demands and watch global breeding trends closely, whilst maintaining close contact with our network of Global experts.
Each stallion will be sourced with a very specific cause in mind, bringing elite genetics to Australia where Australasian breeders can breed the best without having to rely on watered down and unreliable frozen semen.
The group of stallions will include options attractive to both the Show jumping and Eventing Markets. We already have three stallions within our stables that we are excited to showcase as part of the Deo Futura offering.
